Dogs

After having Cal for six months, I've decided that having a dog is pretty awesome. To be totally honest, even after doing tons of research, it was way more work than I expected. Adjusting to having a dog is kind of hard! He's always in the back of my mind. "Does he need to go out?" "Is he happy?" "Is he eating my shoes?" That kind of thing. After the initial adjustment of having another being totally dependent on you, then comes the phase of relaxing and realizing that he can take care of himself to a degree. We're finally there, and now we're finally like, "oh, NOW I realize why people like having dogs." Up til now, it's been nothing but work and worry. But really, in the end, how could we resist this beautiful face...
